Keywords: inexperienced user Message-ID: <7700@hydra.gatech.EDU> Date: 5 Apr 90 12:09:42 GMT Sender: news@prism.gatech.EDU Organization: Georgia Institute of Technology Lines: 27 I just got X11r4 up on my machine (I don't have the source, just the binaries) and was playing around. I found xrn and tried it out. I like it except for one thing. It found news groups and counted the articles (and senders). When I select a newsgroup to read the top window displays the title of the articles but the bottom window did not display the text. All I got was something like: /tmp/xrn789-a11265 I currently use rrn from my machine and use an NNTP machine as the news server and it works fine. If I look at the files /tmp/xrn???-a????? I find that they contain all the text of the article. Is there anything I can do (not having the source code) or am I stuck? Or am I missing something stupid and obvious? Oh, system information: Sun SparcStation, SunOS 4.0.3c Thanks for any help, Robert -- Robert L.
