I am new to the world of X and also to this news group, so please excuse
my ignorance.

We ( the group I am currently working for) had heard that X11R4
(Suns) allows direct access to Pixmaps from clients through shared memory.
Such a feature would be very useful for our project . We would apprecaite
any comments, information or pointers in this regard (i.e. is it true, if
yes where can we get references about it etc.)

Also, another question I have is where can we get information about NeWS
(or if someone could e-mail some information about it)
