    Douglas Young's book "The X Window System : Programming and Applications
with Xt, OSF/Motif Edition" states (page 133) that :

	"The Xt Intrinsics allows widgets to request that multiple
	 exposure events to be compressed into a single Expose event."

    I'm using an "out-of-the-box" drawing area widget, which has the
"compress_exposure" attribute set to FALSE by default.  How exactly does
one change this?  I can't seem to find an obvious way to do this, but I
expect there might be.  Any advice?
