I have a request to dump a color DECwindows display to a file, and
print in grayscale (on a PostScript printer). Has anyone done this?

I am thing of doing a xwd (or something similar) and then convert to
pbm format and use the clr2gry utility. Does this seem reasonable?
I notice that the man page for xwdtopbm says it only works for monochrome.
