I read today that the HST primary mirror is so sensitive that
scientists could not enter the room with a pencil for fear the
graphite shavings would damage the surface.  My question:  how are
they maintaining this sort of sterile atmosphere while Hubble is
sitting in the shuttle's cargo bay?
