Subject: Looking for low cost video animation?

Here at BYU we would like to aquire a system to do animation for
some of the graphics classes. Film animation is too expensive
for the students, we would like to do single frame video recording.
I believe such is possible on the Amiga, but we don't have one.
Is there a comprable system which could run off of a Mac or PC?
