I now have manual pages and a journal article. To those who asked: I got my RCS from mimsy.umd.edu [128.8.128.8]. There is also one at prep.ai.mit.edu [sorry can't recall dotted form] which has docs but which is covered under the GNU-rules. The paper I got from the library is (most informative): "RCS -- A System for Version Control" Walter F.
