It is a extremely good book for teaching the basic concepts of programming and specifics of Mod-2. Part one concerns itself mostly with very simple (but important) concepts, such as simple data types like CARDINAL or CHAR, and array and record structures. Part two smoothly moves onto topics such as pointers and recursion. This book has been used here for the bottom level CS courses since modula-2 was first taught here (approximately 1987). Steven W.
