For the price of postage you get the definition modules and the object code for the modules. You also get the documentation on disk in the form of archived files. If you want the source code that will cost you an additional $185. The fee of $689 is for the right to distribute the object library as part of your own library. I have used the library and have found that it is bug free. In two years of use I have not found a single bug. The worst part of the the library is the documentation. It is rather terse. Even so, there is 460 pages of it. To explore this library fully will require a few years of constant use. My only negative comment is on the way that the library is structured. In order to make the source code independant of the compiler, a lot of functions provided by the JPI Library is implemented again in a couple of low-level modules. This needlessly adds to the size of the executable image. An example of this is the fact that SET OF CHAR is implemented in a module somewhere even though it is directly available in the compiler. It is well worth the $9 for postage that they charge for the objects. Don't ever buy a library from Software Artistry because the M2 libraries are junk. Even the demo programs don't work properly. I have reported many bugs and have not received a single reply or correction.
