It will certainly be a few months. I'll try to get more exact information in the next couple of weeks. Once the disks have actually arrived there, then they will believe that I am done and schedule production. My best guess now is late summer. The manual, incidentally, was a lot of work. It is 680 pages, of which about half are a listing of much of the kernel, all of FS and all of MM. The rest consists of installation instructions, man pages, and various other useful documents. Most of this stuff has appeared on the net at one time or other. What I have mostly done is cleaned it up and typeset it to have the same look and feel as all my other books (I have my own macro package). Please don't ask me to post the manual. P-H (barely) tolerates my posting all the cdiffs, mostly because they don't understand what I am doing, but posting the manual in any form would definitely not fly. If there is any interest, I can post the table of contents, though. Please do not call P-H to order 1.5 from them now. The people answering the phones will deny it exists because it is not in the computer yet, and we all know about computers. When the computer has been told, I will announce that here. They are even working on order-by-email. Andy Tanenbaum (ast@cs.vu.nl)
