Here is the current status of Clam. Version 1.3c (Oct '89) is the latest released version. Callum Gibson, the author, has no email address and has a job which leaves him little time to hack. At the moment Clam 1.3c does not compile under PC Minix 1.5 due to asld limitations, which is not good as it means I've lost an OS platform to test it on. Currently I am Ansifying the source and cleaning it up, without doing any additions/changes to the code structure. If you have portability fixes, please send them to me, but keep other stuff for now. If Andrew Cagney is agreeable, I'll leave a full copy of Clam 1.3c on adelaide [129.127.40.3], with a warning that it compiled under Minix 1.3c and has not been tested under Minix 1.5. The future of Clam will most likely involve a split into the version maintained by me and the one maintained by Callum, which is unfortunate, but I hope to import most of Callum's additions. C'est la vie. Summary: Hack it to taste, send me important portability fixes, don't release code/patches because I will, but I don't know when.
