I'm am interested in the table of contents! I would also be interested in a list of references that have been used in the Minix project. interests: DMA programming PIC programming disk controller programming (I think I read NEC something or another in the Minix docs/code somewhere) I'm getting the urge to program for the 80386 and am planning to start a project this summer (while I'm in ISOLATION from bitnet/usenet) and would like to have an understanding of ALL the components in a typical 80386. Who knows, maybe I'll break the 64K boundry that I hear about in Minix. Disclaimer: VERY serious about the 80386, however I have to admit, even with AST's book at my side I don't know minix that well. I plan to seriously study of it over the summer. Dr. Tanenbaum has given us (pc'ers w/out UNIX) something that we wouldn't have otherwise. We sure could use more people like him around! I think he deserves the best that we have to offer and we sould take a moment of our time to thank him and give him a round of applause. I am personally greatful and send many thanx (not to mention the inspiration he has given me). THANKS ANDY! Raymond A. Manning
