You can buy an Amiga for $100. And have a complete Amiga system for less than $300. The Memory Location, which is the Boston Area's best Amiga dealer, has lots of good, used Amiga 1000s for sale. They're from the trade-ins and so they will be resold without a keyboard but for only $100 you get a 512K Amiga 1000 CPU and disk drive, a mouse and a power cable. It will run most Amiga programs, *and* the good old stuff that worked with Kickstart 1.1. Also, with $130 for an A2000 keyboard and $60 for a monochrome composite monitor, you'll have a fully operational Amiga system. It's not supported by Commodore anymore, and 2.0 will never run on it, but almost everything else will and I think that's a hell of a deal for the money. The address of The Memory Location is 396 Washington Street, Wellesley MA 02181. Their phone number is (617) 237-6846. I think they will ship UPS to you, but you'll have to pay the charges. Hope this information helps someone. - Evan A. Reidell (ereidell@media-lab.media.mit.edu)
