It requires a latch for motor drive and a circuit (very simple) to answer back to the Amiga that it's an 80 track disk at that address (or alternatively, a 40 track disk). I am assuming that your drive is a 300 RPM drive; if it's like the 600 RPM ones I picked up, you are probably out of luck ;-) If you need more info, mail to me and I'll email some stuff back... including an iff pic and narrative, for both 5.25 and 3.5 (40 and 80 track) drives.
