If anyone knows of a good 16" =-multisync at a good price (around $600.00), please mail me. There have been a number of requests for info about multifrequency monitors lately, so I thought I'd point out that the two latest issues of PC Magazine (April and May) contain surveys of Super VGA (~800 horizontal) and 1K (~1024 horiz) monitors. I don't think it's a good idea to base your buying decision solely on PC's "reviews"; they tend to rave about everything. The articles are useful for getting an idea of what's out there, though. There's no substitute for hooking the monitors to your Amiga and taking a look. And no, I *don't* subscribe to PC; my wife does. Personally, I'm leaning towards getting a 19" monitor, namely the Dell Graphics Performance Display 19C. This is actually an OEM'd version of the big DiamondScan. It's considerably less expensive than other 19" monitors (gee, only $2400), but even that's a staggering price for a monitor. Luckily, my wife works at Dell, so I can get it for nearly cost. 8^> Just think, a life-sized instrument panel and HUD for Falcon. :-) Anybody wanna buy a nice used Sony CPD1302 MultiScan? Now where am I gonna stick that 3000? I don't think its case can handle 70lbs of monitor...
