I bet it is not that big a deal. Look around and you can probably find a dealer who will take out the hard drive and credit you with, Oh, say... $300. Then you can install the drive of your choice and he can sell the drive to somebody else at a reasonable price with enough to cover his costs. 'Course we are fussing over a machine that is not even shipping yet and won't be available for months. The price list is promised this friday. Maybe the diskless machine is 'in there'.
