It lets you use labels, constants, combine source files during assembly, create macros, etc. It's disk-based. Unfortunately, it has no concept of local variables (nice for defining subroutines and macros), and it comes in about 4 pieces which you load separately before you run them (editor, assembler, monitor, loader). I'd say it's worth $8 from Tenex Computer Express (1-800-776-6781). I paid $2.95 for Tenex's catalog in B. Dalton's (bookstore), but I'm sure you don't need one to order.
