Message-ID: <7443@mcshh.hanse.de> Date: 6 May 90 09:25:59 GMT Lines: 24 Since we want to replace our 11/780 with ten DS5000/200, and therefore have a DS3100 here to test ULTRIX (we used VMS up to now), I encountered several problems. First of all, I have the feeling that the machine is only usable by one user alone, since performance of screen output on the graphic screen slows down, when other users log in. Furthermore, I would be interested, whether you all like this dxdb? I have lot's of problems with it, e.g. I can set a break point, hit go, and nothing happens. After some more go's, it will reach the break point. If I want to go there by steps, the machine will produce a stack low fault. And if you call FORTRAN from C, it could be, that the fourth integer parameter, which should be passed with something like a register, is recognized by FORTRAN as being on address 0, which produces a segmentation fault, which is obvious. If you change the program a little bit, to find a workaround, f77 will produce the segmentation fault. Nice, isn't it? Am I the only one with this problems?
