To save some hassle, I have placed a pair of compressed tar files
on a machine we have connected with the Internet.  The tar files contain
compiled forms of many of the libraries that MIT is supplying
as part of the MIT X11 Release 4, including libXaw.a and libXmu.a.

People with access to the Internet can get these via:

ftp hpcvaaz.cv.hp.com             (15.255.72.15)
Name: ftp
Password: ftp

ftp> cd pub/MitX11R4
ftp> get README -
ftp> binary
ftp> get libs.s300.Z             ( or libs.s800.Z for Series 800 machines)
ftp> quit

to unpack:

$ zcat libs.s300.Z | tar xvf -
