	In my case, the Seagate ST138R DEFINITELY fails to spin. The sound
made by my C: drive is so distinctive, I could never mistake a spin
failure. And, as I stated in my first posting, I have had to pull the
drive out, spin its hub, and put it back in on an almost DAILY basis
for the last several months. This ALWAYS cures the problem. I am trying
to get a reading through this group on whether this is a typical failure
for current hard drive technology independent of manufacturer.
