I'm always reading about vendors and mail order companies who provide little or no customer support after the sale. I had an encounter with a company that was surprisingly good. I want to complement them on their excellent customer service. I purchaced most of the components of the 386 system I built from a company called Homesmart Computing. I saw thier ad in the back of PC-Week. Their mother board stood up well to my questions regarding its design. I also ordered a video board and a WD-1006 Controler from them. All with a one year warranty. This was in October. Last week my controller died. I was in the middle of writing a paper which I have to present next week so, I felt I was a gonner. I called Homesmart. They told me to send it in and they would check in out. I sent the board to them overnight on tuesday, they received it wednesday, and I had a replacement at my door thursday morning at 9:00am. I've never had such good service from a mail order firm. P.S. I have no affiliation with Homesmart other than being a satisfied customer. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv Mark R.
