The reviews of the software look good but I am wondering about the suitability of the 2mbit cards Artisoft sells. Coming from a workstation environment that sounds really slow to me. Is that fast enough for printer and file sharing between a bunch of ATs? I also need more than 1500 feet for the net. Does the HUB allow multiple full length runs to be joined? This is my impression. This twisted pair stuff must be a proprietary Artisoft network, no? I suggested ethernet but we are running into cable length problems requiring a repeater. Well this adds about $1k to the network cost for an ethernet repeater. This does not go over well in a small installation trying to save bucks. -- patrick pml@cacs.usl.edu ...!uunet!dalsqnt!gator!pml
