The April 10, 1990 PC Magazine has a review/test of 1024x768 noninterlaced monitors. Their editor's choices: 13" Multiscan HG by SONY $1095 list price 13" NEC Multisync 4D $1699 19" Nanao 9400 $3799 The May 15, 1990 PC Magazine has a review/test of Super VGA monitors. (800x600) but some go to 1024x768. Their editors' choices: 14" MAG Computronic PMV14VC Plus $635 13.25" Mitsubishi FA3415ATK $1015 13" NEC Multisync 3D $1049 If you only want VGA, they recommend the Zenith ZCM-1492 which they say has the best picture. The May 1990 PC World tries to find the "best value" among multiscan monitors "for every budget" Theeir best buys: Leading Technology 1432M $495 NEC Multisync 3D $1049 Seiko CM-1440 $899 All three 14" monitors support 1024x768 resolution. -- Eugene Wang eggbert@bucsf.bu.edu
