Message-ID: <111@cosumn.UUCP> Date: 9 May 90 22:40:25 GMT Organization: Cosumnes River College, Sacramento Lines: 13 I have a Toshiba MK134FA-1 harddrive that I am currently using with an MFM controller. When I bought it I was told that it would work with an RLL controller without any problems. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the MK134FA-1 is "approved" for an RLL controller. I've seen lots of places around here advertising them as 65MB harddrives (MFM = 42MB). Might there be two different drives? I've been very pleased with the drive, and would like to hang on to it (I will be switching to a machine with an RLL controller) if I can, but I'd rather not risk it if the horror stories people tell of MFM and RLL controllers really are true. Thanks. -- Brian Volkoff
