Chicago Computer Science Dept. Lines: 22 I am looking to get a laptop to be used primarily for remote login while travelling. Desired features include: As small and light as possible Internal 2400 baud modem 24x80 display if possible Good terminal emulation (e.g. can emulate vt100 or some other standard) Some kind of rudimentary text editing I am willing to consider an oddball special-purpose machine (like the "portable word processors" I've seen advertised, if it meets these criteria. Any recommendations? Please reply to me if possible since I don't usually read this group. Thank you in advance Christopher Owens Department of Computer Science 1100 East 58th Street The University of Chicago Chicago, IL 60637 owens@gargoyle.uchicago.edu (312) 702-2505
