Hard Disk Question Message-ID: <51563.2643C2DF@cmhgate.FIDONET.ORG> Date: 29 Apr 90 14:31:25 GMT Sender: ufgate@cmhgate.FIDONET.ORG (newsout1.26) Organization: FidoNet node 1:343/31 - SEA/MAC, Seattle WA Lines: 14 Say, I've had some similar problems and am interested in any response you get. It's only out of interest, now, as I reformated the drive with Non-Apple SW, but my HD-20 at work did about the same thing and after reformatting with the Apple HD stuff I re-installed everything and the System Folder contents simply disappeared, yet the computer still booted and I could not install new system software ('kept getting a message saying the current stuff was busy or in-use, even though I booted from a floopy). Very strange. Anyhow, I just reformatted again with Disk Manager Mac and haven't had any trouble. -- Timothy M Chovanak via cmhGate - Net 226 fido<=>uucp gateway Col, OH UUCP: ...!osu-cis!n8emr!cmhgate!343!31!Timothy.M.Chovanak INET: Timothy.M.Chovanak@f31.n343.z1.FIDONET.ORG
