Engineering, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA Lines: 16 I recently had an old Jasmine Direct Drive 40 hard drive crash. The hardware is totally unresponsive. The diagnostics return "Drive not ready". When I try to format, it makes a funny noise and just stops. I've looked around for someone who would repair it, but they all quoted me prices over $300! A new one with a 2 yr. warranty is only $450! I called Microtech, Jasmine and Mirror Technologies. Does anyone have any better ideas? I can't believe I have no choice but to buy another one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Jeff
