Today I have discovered that two of them had multiple cron processes running. One had two crons and the other had three ! A ps on the one with three showed that the two I would think were the extras actually had a command of "etc/cron" while the original had "/etc/cron". This is a serious problem on our system as we use cron extensively. From the limited occurance of this problem (2 out of 90 so far) I would have to suspect something like power fail recovery. Anyone got any ideas ? -- <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Nigel Harwood >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> << Post: Coles Myer Ltd, PO Box 2000 Tooronga 3146, Australia >> << Phone: +61 3 829 6090 E-mail: nigel%cmsfl@labtam.oz.au >> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
