What I have in mind is something akin to Photo in Tops-20. The goal in particular is to develop a record which can be used to calculate the efficiency, in number of keystrokes, of various approaches to editing and cleaning a set of data files. I'm new to Unix, so I may not be aware of what would seem to be a relatively simple Tee style solution. Also, I want to second the call for a general, icon based backup manager, one that is robust enough to handle selectively multiple user's accounts. Thanks for your help.
