Try the following:

#!/bin/sh
/LocalApps/bin/xinit -- XNeXT -su -bs -geometry 1050x820

Now my question.  Has anyone tried to compile X programs?  I always got
messages like symbol table out of date and rerun ranlib.  Any fix?
The other thing is I can not seem to get twm to work!!!  I can invoke it
and get the program running, but the keyboard input all goes to the
terminal window...  Thanks for the help.
