The documentation on cc for Xenix indicates that I should be able to assemble files with .s suffixes to create .o object files, but this doesn't work. The compiler generates '/bin/as -o tmp.o tmp.s' then says 'cannot open input file: tmp.o'. When I try the Xenix Macro Assembler, the computer gets severe heartburn and doesn't get anywhere useful. Is there a way to assemble this code on a Xenix system without having to buy the MS-DOS MASM? -- ....microsoft--\ Bill Campbell; Celestial Software ...uw-beaver-----!thebes!camco!bill 6641 East Mercer Way ....fluke------/ Mercer Island, Wa 98040 ....hplsla----/ (206) 232-4164
