I need to install xditview (troff previewer) on
our sparcstation-1s (X11R4, SunOS 4.0.3).  I got
it to build without any errors.

Hoewever, I'm having a problem with ditroff.
The xditview man page says:


USING XDITVIEW WITH DITROFF
     To build a DVI file suitable for use with xditview, use  the
     device description in devX75:
          $ cd devX75
          $ makedev DESC
          $ mkdir /usr/lib/font/devX75
          $ cp *.out /usr/lib/font/devX75
          $ ditroff -TX75 ditroff-input | xditview


Our ditroff runs on a VAX 8600 (Ultrix 2.2).  The
ditroff binary is about 2 years old and I don't have the
source.  I did the first 4 steps (incidentally I had to
change makedev because by default it installs
only 10 fonts).  But when I type "ditroff -TX75...."
I get segmentation or memory fault errors.  Can
someone out there help me?  Thanks in advance!
