the new version of Gnu SmallTalk (V1.1) for the atariSt is now
available from dsrgsun.ces.cwru.edu or picasso.ces.cwru.edu via
anonymous FTP, in pub/atari/smalltalk1-1.zoo. the archive includes
complete sources, executable and a kernel image. to use it you need a
St with 4Megs of memory (it will *not* run on a 2/2.5Meg machine). to
re-compile it, you'll need gcc v1.37.1, also available from the above
site.
