Thanks to all the folks who answered my query. I downloaded a better
error handler and found that may plot was exceeding the limit for the
number of segements in a line.

The DEC previewer handled this OK but the laserwriter didn't.
It would have been nice if the previewer had printed a warning message but
nothing is perfect (yet).
