Well, I managed to answer my own question (perhaps there is some
learning going on...)  When you request a dispatcher you can send it an
open message, which uses a default window size, or you can send it the
openIn: aRectangle message, which allows you to specify, in Mac
coordinates, the size and position of the window. Very simple, but for
several hours I could not figure out that window size was controlled by
the dispatcher.
