   Hi there,

       I'm new to minix, have just got version 1.3.
       As part of my course at Curtin University, we have to 
       do a project, and I have chosen to implement some
       minor changes on minix.

       The first part of my project will involve installing
       minix on a harddisk. We have recently aquired a bunch of
       PC-AT compatibles with 40MByte hard disks and VGA screens.
       What i want to do is to particion the hard drives into drives
       C: and D:. The next step is to load MS-DOS onto drive C: and
       minix onto drive D:. Then, I want to write a small program
       which will adjust the particion information on the DOS boot
       record, so that when you re-boot, it will boot minix instead
       of DOS. Of course, minix will have the equivalent program so
       that you can change back to DOS.

       Is there anybody out there who has done something similar, and
       who would be willing to share their experiences with me ????
