I received quite some answers. Thanks to all. The solution to the problem (the printer always advancing a few centimetres) was twofold: In WP5.0 set the topmargin to 0cm and the botmargin to the sum of your top&botmargins In the printer there has to be twiddled with the dipswitches, *not* in the way the manual tells.
