Message-ID: <1990May29.213230.3185@iti.org> Date: 29 May 90 21:32:30 GMT Organization: Industrial Technology Institute Lines: 17 I'm looking for a cheap archive (not backup) device. This is to keep medium size collections of source code (.1 to 2.0MB) and other archives in a way they're easily retrievable. It should have o cheap standard removable media o be reasonably cheap to buy o capacity of at least 1MB o writable as 'raw' device by 'tar', etc It need not o be mountable as a file system (tho it'd be nice) o have fast seek/transfer rates It sounds like a 1.4Mb floppy disk would do. They're in DECStations, they're in Suns, they must exist . . . can anybody point me at a manufacturer?
