All has been fine until I tried to install an IdeAssociates T60 tape unit. This unit consists of a WangTec QIC-60 60MB cartridge tape drive with QIC-36 interface, an Emulex MT-02 QIC-36 to SASI/SCSI standalone controller and a 8-bit SASI host adapter of IdeAssociates' manufacture. I have tested this unit in a real IBM PC and in a real IBM PC/AT without any problems. The problems occur whenever the software seems to be expecting DMA reads from the host adapter but gets no data. I have tried all combinations of the host adapter configuration and have tried it also in a minimal hardware/ software setup with no success. IdeAssociates and Epson have been no help. Does anyone have any further ideas? Does anyone have any specific experience with these units? I would prefer E-mail and thanks in advance. -- - - - - - Lance N.
