The vax has the multinet package, and I was trying the ttcp.c program supplied in [multinet.examples]. It seems that the only way it works with the sender on VMS and the reciever on the UMAX system is with the -u option (using datagrams, instead of SOCK_STREAM). Why? Is there any way to get it to use the stream protocol? I note that it works fine without the -u when the vax program recieves, and the Umax sends. It also works fine when both modules are run on VMS machines. Any ideas? Mike Levin
