(Again) Message-ID: <90145.000931JKT100@psuvm.psu.edu> Date: 25 May 90 04:09:31 GMT Organization: Penn State University Lines: 40 Here's a challenge for all of you: After some testing, I find that - If I set my CMI Processor Accelerator to 14 MHz mode before invoking A-Max, Mac mode does in fact run faster. A-Max does not disable the software switch as I had previously thought. - HOWEVER (and this is the reason I erroneously thought that it did disable the software switch), in 14 MHz mode, A-Max only runs 14 percent faster! Could someone explain why I am only getting a 14 percent speed increase? My Mac utilities also tell me the Math co-processor is not installed. (Yes, I have FPUInstall in my C directory and I even tried executing it before running A-Max.) In short, Helllllp!! (Please e-mail. Lately I haven't been able to read this group often enough to avoid missing replies. :-( Kurt -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- || Kurt Tappe (215) 363-9485 || Amigas, Macs, IBM's, C-64's, NeXTs, || || 184 W.
