CompuServe has a genealogy 'SIG', and has half a dozen or more
genalogy programs that run on the ST.  I have downloaded one
package, but I haven't played with it enough to say how good it
is.  I'm not that familiar with genealogical terminology and
conventions, and I think that accounts for some difficulties
I've been having with it.  Your friend might be in a better
position to try them for himself than for me to download them
all and try them out and try to evaluate them.
