Even when I messed up a math coprocessor once that I needed to return (there was nothing wrong with the chip; the accelerator board on which it was to be inserted was incompatible), they took the chip back and refunded our account promptly. The worst mail order house I dealt with was PC Network before they filed for bankrupcy. I ordered a PC in May of 1986 and had it come it bits and pieces through October 1986, and even then some components did not work. Worse of all, they had deserialized the computer (it was an IBM AT) because they were not an authorized IBM dealer. PS: I am not in anyway connected to PC-Connection.
