That is why I decided to post this followup and request a summary of all responses. You can run some of the DOS based items by booting up a DOS diskette, "on some computers", but still are limited to non-disk items. Many computers are designed to be Unix/Xenix machines and do not have the needed items to boot dos. So there we get left in the lurches.....
