I have a motherboard from Protech, an Extra/30, in my system, (also called a Protech-286XT). It works great but I am getting a system crash on some DOS commands. It doesn't crash within software programs. The error is - AM Parity checking for segment address. Offending address not found. Segm7C00 (s) According to RAM TEST (shareware software) the error is related to the parity chip in the first bank. I am using the system as is. This computer system includes: IBM monochrome monitor 360 K disk drive extended keyboard this computer is 3.5 times faster than the original PC according to a diagnostics program.
