  It seems like Microsoft could have avoided all this mess by NOT doing
the -Oa optimization _unless_ a #pragma existed in the source code which
allowed it to occur.  This would be opposed to the practice of using a
#pragma which took out the -Oa optimization.  Does anyone feel this is
a reasonable solution?
