In our design we intend to interface an expansion card containing the V25+ (10 MHz enhanced V25) to an AT over the AT I/O channel. Has anyone on the net done anything similar? According to the NEC documentation on the V25 Plus (or uPD70325), the enhancements of the V25+ over the V25 include - DMA transfer rates to 5Mbytes/sec - additional serial channel status flags - improved memory access timing - enhanced software control of register bank context switching Also, according to our NEC reps, they will be coming out with a version in the fourth quarter which will have the real-time Vertex (sp?) OS on the chip. This is in addition to the current part which contains RTOS. * Ken Lambach * Telxon Corp Akron, Ohio * uunet!telxon!kenl
