In particular I am interested in the ALT-286 and the ALT-386SX. They both have nice features, according to the advertising (VGA LCD, 1.44M FDD, 1M RAM, 16 bit 1/2 length slot, 2hr battery, 16MHz, & 20/40M HDD, ...). The disadvantages are the weight 7kg (~15.4lbs) and it only has MS-DOS 3.3, and not in ROM. And these things are cheap compared to Compaq, Toshiba, and Sharp. What are people's comments on these things? Could someone make a comment quickly? I would like to make a purchase within a month. Au revoir, @~~Richard Thomas aka.
