It has a built-in microphone, and comes with software that allows you to listen to the digitized sounds, view the sound prints, edit the sounds, and save them in certain formats (SoundMaster, Sound-Play, snd resource files, etc.). Since the mike is built-in, you can record from practically anything: speech, TV, your stereo, the radio...
