This question may have hit the big net before, but I will take that
chance...

Can anyone give some pointers to where I can find PD programs to convert 
a picture in GIF format to either TIFF or PICT format suitable for a mac.
(background: The Hubble picture to be transferred to image-1.26 for the
MacII)

Any help appreciated ...
